places to stay - chattanooga

There are a variety of hotels in the Chattanooga at all different comfort levels and price points. There are also a few alternatives to the traditional hotel, for those of you looking for a different experience, or trying to save some money. Please note that there is no camping within Chattanooga city limits, so a car may be necessary if you are planning on camping during your term.

Hostels

The Crash Pad
Located about 4.7 miles (13 minutes) from the SECC office, The Crash Pad is a hostel on the south side of town, catering particularly to climbers, where you can rent either a bunk or a private room. The Heinsman Guest House
Located about 4.1 miles (13 minutes) from the SECC office, The Heinsman Guest House is located in the heart of downtown near MLK Blvd, walking distance from many restaurants. You can book directly on their website, or calling 423-822-8484.

Airbnb & Vrbo

Airbnb or Vrbo are both a convenient way to find short term rentals for a reasonable price. You can browse the site without registering, but will need to create a profile to make a booking. Use your best judgement when selecting a host.

Camping in the Chattanooga Area

There is no camping within the city itself, so you may need a car, or other reliable transportation to get to a campground if you are planning on camping during your term with SECC.
